A community of people following Jesus together - also known as a church
What’s the first thing you think of when you hear "church?" We probably don’t want to be thought of in that way! In many ways, we’re starting a church for those who aren’t very interested in church – or at least what they think church is. We’d rather you think of us as a community rooted in the reality of God, growing in connection with Jesus and bearing fruit as the Spirit enables us.
You’re really pushing this church thing, aren’t you? All right, here’s a list of descriptions… Christ-centered, Spirit-empowered, biblical, missional, CRC
Jesus is central, not only what He did for us in dying on the cross so that we could be made right with God, but how He shows us what a new life in Him looks like. All we do, we do in His name, according to His character and to bring Him glory!
When someone places their trust in Christ as Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit comes to live in that person, connecting them with Christ, allowing them to live in a new way and to have spiritual gifts and resources to draw upon to do whatever God calls us to do. We each have our own unique gifts and call on our lives, which God fits together like the different parts of our bodies so that together we are the Body of Christ and continue to do the work Jesus started.
We believe the Bible is a faithful, reliable and authoritative witness to who God is, what He desires for our lives and His plan for all of creation.
God sent Jesus on a mission to begin the work of restoring all things to their intended relationship with God. The church has been sent to continue this work as Christ’s Body in the world. So we are on a mission from God, to see God’s rightful rule acknowledged by every person and in every aspect of life.
The Christian Reformed Church is a historic denomination that traces its roots back to the Protestant Reformation. John Calvin is the pre-eminent theologian associated with the Reformed movement, which came to the US by way of the Netherlands. We are "Reformed" because we seek to constantly reform our lives and practices according to Scripture. Check us out at www.crcna.org.
Right now I’m sitting in a restaurant downtown while other people in our church are at work, at home, at school or out and around town. You can find us all together in one place when we gather for the feast - Sundays at 9am at 402 E 9th Street in Fond du Lac, WI.
Whatever you’re comfortable in and comfortable being seen in – not clothing optional!
Great! Come explore! We actually offer a short term small group called dig specifically for those willing to ask the hard questions of life and faith. We may not have all the answers, but we’re not afraid of questions!
